Triple Date Night and Untrustworthies

I love date nights. In fact, I especially love triple date nights. I spent Saturday evening on a triple date with some awesome people. (Alex, Brew, Lauren, Aimee, Danny Boy) We started our evening off by going to a sports bar and getting some dinner, then we worked our way downtown and attended the Cincinnati Cyclones game. So, maybe the Cyclones aren't an NHL team, but lets face it, Alex loves hockey. And boys seem to love any activity where it is actually an 'ok' thing to 'check' someone into a wall... so the guys were in heaven attending this hockey game. We girls, of course, spent most of the game observing the other random people around us (crazy Red soul-less lady, punk little kids with their shirts off!) and chatting about all kinds of random things. We also got some cotton candy to munch on, thanks to Brew for purchasing it, by the way ;) The Cyclones won, 6-4, I think... lol There was a pretty big fight, the kind where they rip their helmets off and punch each other's heads and then take each other down onto the ice... very intriguing to watch. What a bunch of bafoons. All in all though, the game was a success, a lot of fun, and a great group date venue!

The Goofy Boys!
I think the general consensus on the triple date was that everyone had a blast, everyone got along perfectly, and everyone wants to do it all again, hockey and all... :)

Yesterday was my parent's 28th anniversary. TWENTY-EIGHT! Holy moly! I am so proud of them and am so hoping that we get to share another 28 years with them :) It's so awesome to think of marriages lasting these days with how many seem to go off the deep end. I am very lucky to be able to say that my parents are still together, still having fun, and still steaming along full speed ahead... :)

I've decided, with a little provoking on Cara's part, to start a daily (or rather postly) list of what Cara likes to call "Untrustworthies". This list will contain numerous categories and descriptions of people or things that we feel are deemed "untrustworthy". Generally the items are comical, most of us can relate in one way or another, whether you fall guilty to the Untrustworthy, or you know someone else who falls guilty of it. They are quite hilarious and funny to hear. Cara and her old housemates started this list and it has since grown to more than 100 untrustworthies! I will be posting their untrustworthies as well as coming up with some of my own personal opinions of what I deem is untrustworthy. Hopefully everyone finds them comical and doesn't decide to take offense to them... because I can tell you right now, I fall into a bunch of categories of untrustworthies :) So from here on out, I will end each blog with one untrustworthy... Enjoy!

  1. I loved going to the game with you all and I know that dan had a great time with the boys! This was my first hockey game ever, and it gave me a great impression! the game was fun, exciting, and we won which always makes it better. Not to mention the fight that broke out! I hope we can get a chance to attend another game and possibly try it out ourselves!

Also, congrads to momma and poppa lon, over the past four or five years they have become a second set of parents to me (and role models!). It is great to see them going strong and hope to make more memories soon!
